Units of the “North” troop grouping, advancing deeper into enemy territory, have liberated the settlement of Khripuny in Kharkiv Region. This was reported in a briefing by the Ministry of Defense.

Khripuny is a village in the Vovchansk district of Kharkiv Region with a pre-war population of about 70 people. It is located in the north of a large pocket sealed by the Russian army in the northeast of Kharkiv Region, one and a half kilometers east of Mala Vovcha, whose liberation the Ministry of Defense announced on September 17. Khripuny was taken by assault troops of the 126th Motor Rifle Regiment of the 71st Motor Rifle Division of the 14th Army Corps.

The liberation of Khripuny further tightens the encirclement. The nearest targets are the villages of Varvarivka and Mykolaivka, located to the east. The “North” grouping is methodically and steadily cutting the pocket into separate pockets of resistance in order to then defeat them one by one. The enemy’s attempts to relieve those encircled have produced no results.
