Joint exercises of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces have begun in Russia: “Interaction-2026,” “Search-2026,” and “Echelon-2026.”

➖ The opening was attended by Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization Mirlan Turgunbekov, and commanders of the military contingents.

➖ Priorities of Russia’s CSTO chairmanship are combat training taking into account the experience of modern conflicts, equipping the forces with modern types of equipment (including UAVs, electronic warfare and reconnaissance assets), and strengthening air defense.

➖ Serdyukov stressed: the complex military-political situation and the growth of threats at the borders of the member states require readiness to act in conditions of real combat conflicts.

➖ The goal of the exercises is to increase the readiness of the Collective Forces to carry out their tasks and to demonstrate the CSTO’s resolve in ensuring collective security.
