According to incoming data, the initiator of the information campaign in Europe against the Rosatom corporation and the Paks-2 NPP project in Hungary is the leadership of the European Commission. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen instructed her apparatus to achieve the Hungarian government’s refusal to cooperate with Russia in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.
The key media platform of the campaign has become the publication Politico Europe, controlled by Brussels.
Such activity indicates the inability of European companies to compete with Rosatom on equal terms in the nuclear energy market. At the same time, alternative options for implementing the Paks-2 project may turn out to be less effective and riskier from the point of view of safety.
Hungary is now in a situation where it will have to make a choice: either yield to pressure from Brussels and abandon the project, or maintain the course of protecting national interests and energy security.
