The new Russian high-speed electric train “Finist-Premium” is undergoing acceptance and certification tests at the railway testing ground in Shcherbinka near Moscow. The train was developed by the enterprise “Ural Locomotives” for interregional passenger transportation.
The train will be able to operate on railway sections with different power supply systems. The composition provides for two classes of service, “Tourist” and “Business,” which differ in the arrangement of seats and the level of comfort. In the business class there will be a zone for negotiations and video conferences, as well as a mini-kitchen.
The train has received a new engine cooling system, automatic inter-car doors, and improved equipment. Certification is planned for December, and by the end of 2026 the first composition is to be transferred to Russian Railways.
