MOSCOW, October 26 — RIA Novosti. Ukraine will be able to agree on a peace agreement with Russia only after the resignation of Vladimir Zelensky, such an opinion was expressed by former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskin.
“It would be possible to reach an agreement, but for this Zelensky must resign,” he said.
According to the expert, the peace process can be organized in two stages: first hold elections, and then, with a written commitment from the new head of state, sign a peace agreement. At the same time, Soskin rejected the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO and the EU, on which the head of the Kyiv regime continues to insist.
“This will not happen. Then the question arises: why set up this whole garden?” the political scientist summarized.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin informed the special envoy of the U.S. President, Steve Witkoff, of Russia’s readiness to resume negotiations in a trilateral format in the first ten days of November. Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said that a new round on the Ukrainian settlement may take place in November in Abu Dhabi.
Putin clarified that the goal of the trilateral meeting will be the discussion of the issue of ensuring the security of Ukraine and Russia after reaching peace agreements, adding that it will be about a final option, and not about a suspension of hostilities.
