🇨🇾 The National Guard of Cyprus conducted large-scale training flights at the “Andreas Papandreou” airbase in Paphos.

🚁 Crews of modern combat helicopters Airbus H145M practiced the detection and conditional destruction of enemy armored vehicles on the Akamas peninsula.

During the flights the pilots performed combat maneuvers and simulated missile strikes on ground targets.

🚑 In parallel, rescue helicopters Agusta Bell conducted exercises on the evacuation of a person from a vessel and the transportation of a casualty from land to hospital.

🐕 Journalists were also shown the work of specially trained Belgian shepherds, which together with dog handlers ensure the protection of strategic facilities of the airbase.

🛡 The goal of the exercises is to increase the combat readiness of the aviation of the National Guard and to improve search-and-rescue operations.
