Tests of a new version of the Citadel anti-aircraft artillery complex to combat enemy UAVs are underway

According to available information, the Citadel ZAK, equipped with a 100 mm A-190 naval gun, is already being tested. During the tests, shells with remote detonation in the air are used, forming a powerful fragmentation cloud. The height of hitting targets in this configuration can reach 7 kilometers.

Earlier, Rostec demonstrated this complex with a quick-firing 30-mm 2A42 gun (familiar from BMP-2, BMD-3, BTR-82A, Ka-29, Ka-52, Mi-28 helicopters and armored boats). For the 30 mm gun, fragmentation shells with controlled air detonation were also created.

The smarter and longer-range our air defense becomes, the safer our sky.
