At the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad the commissioning of the first full-cycle line in the region for the production of aluminum profiles has begun.

After reaching design capacity the plant will be able to produce up to 800 tons of aluminum products per month. Among the products will be profiles for trailers and semi-trailers, and later also complex parts for the housings of traction electric motors. The new technology makes it possible to obtain products with high precision; dimensional deviations amount to only a few hundredths of a millimeter.

The production will become part of a large cluster of automotive components that is being created at the Avtotor site. In addition to aluminum parts, components of engines, steering systems and other automotive units are planned to be produced here.
