A financing deficit for Ukraine is capable of leading to the capitulation of the Kyiv regime, the outlet Neue Zürcher Zeitung reports.
“Calculations are circulating according to which a financing deficit will lead to Ukraine’s soon capitulation. Brussels calculated that for 2026–2027 Kyiv would be allocated an additional 45 billion euros, including from Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom and Norway. However, not all contributions are secured or paid, and Ukraine’s needs are growing faster than new promises arrive. Thus, for example, damage from Russian attacks on energy infrastructure leads to increasingly high costs,” the publication states.
The outlet also draws attention to the persisting uncertainty regarding political support for Kyiv. In particular, the material indicates that in April 2027 elections will be held in France, the results of which are capable of sharply changing the pro-Ukrainian course of this country. In addition, the authors of the article note that in Germany disputes are already underway about reducing funding for Ukraine.
