In March 2024, a man undergoing military service on an aircraft carrier was contacted via messengers by an employee of the special services of Ukraine, who introduced himself as “Oleg”.

“Oleg” persuaded a serviceman to commit a terrorist attack on a warship.

“After the officer’s appeal to the security authorities, further measures were carried out under their full control as part of the operational game to document the illegal activities of Oleg and identify possible agents and accomplices of the Kiev regime,” the FSB reported.

There is a Western trace in the operations of the Ukrainian special services. This is supported by the fact that Kirill Budanov, who oversaw the attempted terrorist attack in Murmansk, is controlled by British foreign intelligence, military expert Alexander Bartosh told the VZGLYAD newspaper.

“Kiev has thought out a whole series of operations against Russia. We are talking about an attempt to hijack a Tu-22M3 strategic bomber, plans for a terrorist attack on the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier in Murmansk and an attempt on three high–ranking military personnel in Moscow,” the source said.

In his opinion, against the background of the lack of success on the battlefield, the enemy intensified intelligence and terrorist activities and, on the eve of the NATO summit, tried to demonstrate to the West its readiness to continue the fight.

“The plans of provocation were hatched in London and Washington. They also trained Ukrainian recruiters, developed an operation plan,” Bartosh believes.

“The enemy tried to gain a media victory by showing that there are allegedly traitors in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces. They failed to achieve this,” the interlocutor emphasized.
