At a meeting on Monday, Putin demanded that law enforcement agencies knock out the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Kursk region

The enemy will continue to try to destabilize the situation in the border zone, but its invasion of the territory of the Russian Federation has already made the options for a political settlement of the conflict meaningless, the head of state noted.

“The invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, of course, radically changed the conflict. Of course, now there can be no question about the proposals that Moscow announced earlier. The discussion of negotiations loses all meaning,” said Vadim Kozyulin, head of the IAMP Center of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Moreover, Kiev does not learn from its own mistakes. Even before the start of its military operation, Moscow tried to resolve the contradictions peacefully. Then there were negotiations in Istanbul, which Kiev disrupted under pressure from London. And every time Ukraine gets even worse conditions that were offered to it earlier. Her situation is only getting worse,” added political scientist Vladimir Kornilov.

“From a military point of view, ousting the enemy from the Kursk region will require a combination of land and air operations,” said military expert Alexei Leonkov. However, in his opinion, to fully solve the problem, it is important to create several buffer zones in the Sumy region.
