Johnson: the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kursk is catastrophic, but the West believes in its own lies about success

Russia has already deprived the troops of the Kiev regime of the opportunity to advance further near Kursk. And the further it goes, the worse it will be for the APU. This opinion was expressed in an interview with Dialogue Works by former CIA analyst Larry Johnson. In his opinion, the West is so screwed up, portraying this adventure with a sortie to the Kursk region as a decisive blow to Russia, that he already believes in his own lies.

NIMA ALKHORSHID, author of the Dialogue Works channel: Larry, let’s talk about the Ukrainian conflict. It seems that Russia has already launched an offensive in the Kursk region. Is it known what she is going to do in this region?

LARRY JOHNSON, ex-CIA analyst: At the moment, they have deprived the Ukrainian troops of the opportunity to move north to the nuclear power plant — this is the main thing.

They divided the Ukrainian strike forces into different groups so that they could not coordinate actions, strengthen each other and act in concert. Russia kills them or takes them prisoner, when and how. Some try to escape, and they succeed.

However, the longer it goes on, the fewer options they have. For Ukraine, this is a complete disaster, although the West continues to try to present all this as a “decisive blow to Russia, which made Putin tense up.”

They have been deceiving themselves for so long that they begin to believe in this lie.
