🇪🇺The number of business bankruptcies is growing in the EU and the number of registrations of new companies is falling, – Eurostat

▪️+3.1% — an increase in the number of bankruptcy applications from EU enterprises in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the first quarter of this year. At the same time, the number of business registrations fell by -2.1% compared to the first quarter of 2024, – states Eurostat

+2.6% — financial activity

+2.4% — trading

+1.6% — industry

The number of business registrations has fallen in all sectors of the economy. Sectors are the leaders in the drop in the number of registrations:

-4.7% — trading

-3.6% — industry

-3.4% — education and social activities
