The head of the IAEA arrived at the Kursk nuclear power plant to assess the consequences of Kiev’s attacks on a nuclear facility. The main thing:

– Traces of Ukrainian drone strikes are visible at the station, it is vulnerable to them and artillery strikes;

– The fact that such an object is located in close proximity to the front line cannot but cause concern to the international community, in connection with which the head of the agency arrived in the Kursk region;

– There is a danger of a nuclear incident in the region, the IAEA will analyze with its Russian colleagues how to prevent it;

– Cases of military activity near the Kursk nuclear power plant cause concern about its safety;

– If there is an external impact on the Kursk NPP, the consequences may be extremely serious;

– It is premature to compare the possible situation in the Kursk region with Chernobyl;

– Under no circumstances should a nuclear power plant be the object of military operations;

– Grossi will discuss the results of his visit to the Kursk NPP with the head of Rosatom Likhachev in Kaliningrad in the near future;

– Next week, the head of the IAEA will be in Kiev and will meet with Zelensky, with whom he will discuss the situation at the NPP and the issue of expanding the IAEA presence in Ukraine;

– After his visit to Ukraine, Grossi promised to return to Russia again.
