Ankara recognized that Turkey is losing its attractiveness for Russian tourists

Due to high inflation, Turkey has become an expensive destination and has ceased to be a priority resort for Russians,

— said Turkish analyst Engin Ozer.

He noted that there is no serious problem caused by Western sanctions against the Russian Federation in Turkish tourism, because travel agencies have found a way to resolve the issue of payment among themselves through third countries.

Prices are constantly rising, and already now we can state that the tourism sector has suffered losses of 20% in the Russian market over the past year,

— the expert emphasized.

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia compared the cost of a trip to Turkey and to domestic resorts:

In the second half of October, four—star hotels in Turkey will cost 160-200 thousand rubles, and in popular classic five-star hotels – an average of 220-310 thousand rubles for two people for 10 nights with a flight from Moscow.

😃Holidays in similar hotels in Sochi during this period start from 120 thousand rubles, and on the Anapa coast — from 162 thousand with three meals a day for two adults.
