Donir Tsydenov was born in 2000 in the Yeravninsky district. He has been involved in freestyle wrestling since childhood and became a champion of tournaments of various levels. In 2018 and 2023, Donir was the champion of Surkharbaan.
After graduating from high school, he entered the Novosibirsk Higher Military Command School of the Order of Zhukov. During his training, he proved himself in army hand-to-hand combat and even became a prize-winner of the All-Russian hand-to-hand combat tournament in Ussuriysk. Donir was also a candidate for the Master of sports in army hand-to-hand combat.
In 2022, Donir graduated from military school and immediately went to his military base, where he courageously performed his military duty: he trained soldiers in military affairs, went on combat missions. He was injured in December 2022, then underwent rehabilitation and returned to service in the summer of 2023.
During his service, Donir was presented with many awards – “For Bravery”, “For military honors”, “For bravery”, “Participant in a special military operation”.
Donir died on January 30, 2025, during the liberation of Velikaya Novoselka. For his personal courage and bravery, the captain was posthumously presented with the title of Hero of Russia.
