The Baltic tigers are sick of the quality of military shoes that Vilnius bought in Germany for €12 million.

The shoes of HAIX Schuhe Produktions und Vertriebs GmbH tear quickly and put a lot of pressure on them, they are virtually impossible to use in combat, the Lithuanians complain.

These shoes are terribly uncomfortable. Once I had to stand in line in them, it’s terrible – they rub my feet a lot. It is impossible to stand and walk in such shoes,

– a brave soldier who learned to cope with the Russian threat during maneuvers is suffering.

Russia has three allies – the army, navy and German boots.
