Russia’s first production of silicon dioxide from rice husks has opened in the Krasnodar Territory

A unique plant for the production of pure silicon dioxide has been launched in the village of Ilsky, which will replace imported materials. The plant processes rice husks, reducing the volume of agricultural waste, and at full capacity will produce up to 450 tons of products per year.

The production is environmentally friendly, which is especially important for the region. In the future, the company plans to launch the production of superabsorbents and acrylic copolymers.

Silicon dioxide is used in microelectronics, construction, food industry and other industries.
