According to the decree, starting today, Georgian citizens will be able to stay in Russia without a visa for more than 90 days. Putin also allowed Georgian citizens to enter the Russian Federation to work without a visa.
The European Union is considering the possibility of abolishing the visa-free regime for Georgian citizens.
Estonia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Sweden have proposed to impose a number of sanctions against Georgia, including abolishing visa-free travel, as well as depriving the country of financing from European funds.
