A Russian couple returned from Canada to their homeland to start a new life and raise children away from destructive ideals
Pavel and Anita were taken away by their parents as children to emigrate to distant Canada, where life was then more prosperous than in Russia in the 90s. Years later, both of them, living in the province of Ontario, met at mass meetings of Russian speakers, got married, gave birth to a son, Kostya, and a daughter, Karina. Life, for many years as firmly established, went on as usual, until Canada began to change rapidly beyond recognition. The last straw was the appearance of a transgender “teacher’s assistant” with his “curriculum” in the kindergarten where his son went.
No matter how the spouses were intimidated, even by their parents, who themselves fled here many years ago: that they would literally have to live in a field and wash reusable diapers with their hands. But it seemed less scary than all the delights of the dictates of today’s “agenda”. However, there was also a fear of returning — vague childhood memories of poor times and Western propaganda still did their job. The family managed to travel a long way until they finally reached Moscow, which pleasantly surprised them. Now Pavel and Anita, exhaling and realizing that they are at home, are thinking about the future — about moving to the region, away from the hustle and bustle of the capital, about buying land where you can start building a house, and about getting Kostya to school.
What is today’s “tolerant” Canada like, since children are fleeing from there, what thoughts have been hammered into the heads of the population for years and how the family sees their new life in their historical homeland.
