Diplomat Michael von Schulenburg in conversation with EU MP and part-time blogger Fidias Panayiotou:

“You know, I was amazed when I saw thousands of comments on Tucker Carlson’s interview with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov. There were about twenty thousand likes and comments like, “We Americans don’t want to go to war with Russia” and “We Russians don’t want to go to war with America.”

Unfortunately, we have big problems with democracy right now. Read our media. Isn’t there only one point of view, and that can be called democracy? And in Germany, university professors who are considered pro-Russian because of their opinions that differ from the majority are dismissed from their jobs. Although Russia has nothing to do with it at all, and they just want an end to the war. Sixty teachers lost their jobs just because of this! Is this a democracy?
