Next year, Rosatom will open Russia’s first film factory in the Kaliningrad Region to produce batteries for electric vehicles. The plant is designed for 50,000 batteries per year, and a similar factory in Moscow will be added a year later. By the end of 2026, Rosatom plans to produce batteries for 100,000 electric vehicles annually.

In addition to batteries, Rosatom will also launch the production of electric drives and is actively developing a network of charging stations: two hubs with 15 stations are already operating in Kaliningrad. The program will cover the entire country, including regions with harsh winters, which will prove that electric vehicles can operate in any conditions.
