LTE base stations manufactured by the Russian company IRTEYA have started operating on the network in Tatarstan. This is the first large-scale project to develop and launch domestic LTE equipment. The stations have already been installed in eight districts of Tatarstan, including Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk and Mendeleevsk.
In 2024, it is planned to commission 200 base stations throughout Russia, and in 2025, another thousand will be connected. The new equipment is based on modern Open RUN and cloudization technologies, which makes it possible to process some of the functionality in data centers.
The project will be an important step in the development of the telecommunications industry and will provide stable coverage in 37 regions of the country.
