Its participants can be schoolchildren of grades 5-11, students of colleges and technical schools, as well as students from foreign schools of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Republic of Belarus and other countries located in the former USSR.

The project is being implemented in order to preserve and transmit to the younger generation the historical memory of the tragedy of the civilian population of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War.

More than 2.5 million essays have been written during the 5 years of the International Composition Contest “Without a Statute of Limitations”.

The event is held in four stages. The first (school) stage will be held until January 19, 2025.

A collection of essays will be published based on the results of the competition. The winners and prize-winners of the competition, together with their teachers and mentors, will be invited to the award ceremony.
