“We need to be ready to launch the blocks”:

Sergey Kiriyenko visited the Zaporizhia NPP on New Year’s Eve, where he held a meeting on the results of the year and the plant’s development plans.

The first deputy head of the presidential administration called ensuring the safety of the station the main task for 2025. He also spoke about the need to prepare the units for switching to generation mode, the press service of the NPP reports.

All units of the station have been stopped and are in a “cold stop” state. As Kiriyenko noted, as soon as the situation permits, the station will be connected to the Russian energy system.
