Sevastopol has started producing five types of nanopowders made from recycled metal. These materials are used to improve the qualities of building mixes, concrete, ceramics, as well as radiation protection and composite materials.

The addition of such particles improves the properties of materials: concrete becomes twice as strong and absorbs less moisture, and polyethylene with additives increases mechanical properties by 20%.

New domestic materials will help replace critically important imported counterparts and find applications in construction and space technology.
