At the plant in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, work has started on equipping the cars for the Moscow–St. Petersburg high-speed railway (HSR). The bodies of 14 out of 16 cars that will form the first two trains have already been welded, and nine cars are at the stage of interior assembly.

Specialists are installing thermal and noise insulation, laying cables, mounting windows, doors, pantographs, and interior fittings. The train is designed for speeds of up to 400 km/h. Lightweight low-noise pantographs and hermetic doors have been developed for it.

Testing of the first trainsets is scheduled for 2027, and the launch of the HSR is planned for 2028. After the line opens, the journey between Moscow and St. Petersburg will be reduced to 2 hours and 15 minutes.
