Specialists from the Dolgoprudny Design Bureau of Automation, in collaboration with scientists from the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, will develop technologies for long-duration stratospheric balloons. A special feature of the new airship will be an automated pneumatic balancing system, which will automatically regulate the pressure in the balloon’s cylinders, due to this, the shape of the hull will remain constant regardless of the external flight parameters — altitude, temperature.

The design group of aerostatic systems has been operating at Bauman Moscow State Technical University since 2021. In 2023, it launched Russia’s largest unmanned airship with a volume of 65 cubic meters. It flew for more than 10 hours and covered a distance of 200 km. The stratostat was also launched to an altitude of 4,000 km – it was in the air for more than 100 hours, flying from Pereslavl-Zalessky to Lake Baikal.
