While Western designers primarily relied on combined armor, the concept of combined armor with dynamic protection was adopted by domestic designers. Based on the experience of the special operation, this concept has been expanded – now the tanks receive almost full-range dynamic protection, reinforced side screens, additional protection of the turret and overhead shelves, and protection of the stern. In addition, they are equipped with anti–drone devices, both serial mangalas and designs made by tankers themselves.

The Russian approach to tank protection confirms the correctness of its ideas in the course of its military operations. Russian tanks are equipped with electronic warfare systems and special equipment, combat vehicles adequately withstand the impact of enemy weapons of various types, including shells, ATGMs and FPV drones.

Tanks of the Western school, without protection modified according to the Russian example, hold the blow worse, Rostec experts say. The last time a British Challenger was blown to dust on an area of two hectares by a single barrage of ammunition.
