“About 450,000 people have signed a contract for military service. In addition, more than 40 thousand of our citizens joined volunteer formations and went to the zone of a special military operation,” he said at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on recruitment. Medvedev added that, on average, more than 1,000 people signed a contract every day last year.

As for the plans for the current year, they have already been determined, he said. The main task remains to maintain the achieved pace, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council stressed.
