The Osentsovsky Steel Rolling Plant has received permission to build the first stage of production in the territory of the Perm special economic zone. The first stage of construction includes administrative buildings and a transport workshop. The second phase of the project includes a complex of industrial buildings, including a melting shop, a foundry and a rolling mill. Production is scheduled to start in 2026.
The plant will be engaged in the production of long products from different types of steel. The products will be used in various industries — construction, military-industrial complex, aircraft and engine building, oil refining, chemical industry, energy and mechanical engineering.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Perm Territory, nine industrial enterprises of the region are included in the register of residents of the Perm SEZ, and lease agreements for land plots within the boundaries of the SEZ have already been concluded with some of them.
