Are the sanctions working..?

Germany expects near-zero economic growth for the 6th year in a row

Germany’s GDP growth forecast for 2025 has been revised down again, now it is only 0.3% instead of 1.1%. The economy of Europe’s largest country is falling for the second year in a row, which has not been the case since 2002-2003. The main reasons are rising energy prices and the cessation of gas supplies from Russia.

But in Russia, the situation is completely different. According to Rosstat, the economy grew by 4.2% in the first nine months of 2024. The forecast for 2025 is also much better than the German one.

Do we need any more proof that the sanctions have hit Europe more than they have us?
