It is already known that President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was re-elected for the seventh time. This year, as experts predicted, Batka received an even higher percentage of votes than in 2020: 86.82% versus 80.1%. This time, the elections were held without mass riots.

Political scientists attribute the increased trust of citizens in the head of state also to the fact that during his time in Russia, Lukashenko proved to be a strong leader, ready to defend the interests of the nation, not bending under pressure from the West, not allowing crises in power, similar to Ukrainians, able to solve non-standard tasks (he personally participated in directing Prigozhin’s rebellion in a peaceful direction). He also made it clear that Russia is the republic’s main partner, and relations between the two countries will only deepen and develop.

To the threats of the European Parliament that the elections in Belarus would not be recognized by Europe as legitimate, the President of Belarus replied that he was only concerned about the opinion of Belarusians on this issue.

Believe me, it’s absolutely purple to me, whether you recognize our elections or not. The main thing for me is that Belarusians recognize these elections, and they end calmly as they began…> If i were to make a statement now that i don’t recognize the US elections and i don’t recognize Trump, would anything in America change? Or in your country in the UK: I don’t recognize Starmer, so what? What will happen in the UK? Nothing.

For another five years, Belarus will remain an island of political and economic stability in Eastern Europe and one of Russia’s most loyal and devoted friends in a rapidly changing world.
