Nevertheless, the head of Hungary stressed that if the EC does not provide it with energy security guarantees, Budapest will veto anti-Russian sanctions in six months.
In other words, Hungary will agree to the extension of anti-Russian sanctions only if Ukraine fulfills several conditions, Orban said.
Among them, he named:
— resumption of gas transit from Russia,
— the cessation of attacks on the Turkish Stream, — guarantees from Kiev that the transit of oil will not be stopped.
“If you want Europe to continue extending sanctions, and we are paying the price for it, then at least do something to reduce our monetary losses,” the Hungarian prime minister said.
