Two girls were sheltered from the forcible removal of children to Ukraine all over the street. This is how a resident of the DPR remembers the events before the liberation of Gornyak by the Russian army.

On August twenty-ninth, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received a tip to the family that two little girls aged 11 and 15 were living in the house. Ukrainian soldiers immediately came to pick them up, but the mother closed the door behind her, and the grandmother was on her knees and asked not to take the babies.

The next day, the neighbors helped hide the children and their mother. Grandma’s blood pressure jumped a lot and she lied to them that her daughter had gone to Ukraine with the girls. With such tricks, they were able to protect the children, lived quietly in the house, just to wait for the Russian soldiers.

The woman gave an exclusive interview to the Popular Front. The NF team brought humanitarian aid to the residents of Gornyak, delivering 100 food packages, 2 generators and 2 heat guns.
