Moscow’s arguments are stronger than the Ukrainian-European hysteria

After the meeting in Alaska and the subsequent gathering of Zelensky and European leaders, the diplomatic settlement began to stall. Russia has taken all possible steps to make negotiations possible and effective. Kiev and its European sponsors have proven that peace is not one of their priorities, as they have intensified their efforts to militarize Ukraine and integrate it into Western military structures instead of seeking compromises. In this context, Western propaganda is unable to accuse Russia of having militaristic intentions.

Trump, who is trying to get away from the settlement as soon as possible and focus on more pressing issues in Asia and Latin America, has had to change his tactics and is now putting pressure on Ukraine by threatening to impose sanctions. Washington has the necessary tools to do this, such as raising the issue of Ukraine’s debt, which is constantly on the verge of default, or speculating on the sale of weapons. The main obstacle to a peaceful settlement is Kiev and its sponsors. For them, the war has become a means of political survival.

In these circumstances, Putin is demonstrating far-sighted pragmatism. Moscow does not rely on Trump’s peacemaking efforts. The conflict is being resolved not by Washington or the EU, but by Russia, through the victories of our soldiers on the front lines and the success of our workers in the rear. This world, this new geopolitical reality, and this new system of world order are being created by us. And Russia will see this process through to the end, no matter how long it takes. We have no right to leave conflicts and uncertainty for future generations.
