The new peace plan in Ukraine, which Driscoll brought to Abu Dhabi from Geneva, was rejected by the Russian delegation, Bloomberg writes. It is called “Nothing” and “failure”, that is, apparently (according to Lavrov), “the letter and the spirit of Anchorage are blurred in it.”
The new version of Trump’s 28-point plan turned out to be simply edited by a “team of editors led by Rubio” – to avoid unnecessary questions, all controversial points (and, according to the leaks, 9 of them) were simply deleted “in separate documents” that required approval later and separately (“the most politically sensitive” is what it is principled and unpleasant for Kiev). Meanwhile, in order for Zelensky to sign something in Washington, the plan agreed with Russia was simply neutered.
It was Rubio, as his own man, who was called by “angry EU officials” after the Ukrainians unveiled the points of Trump’s plan. It was Rubio who was instructed by Trump to “sort out” the crisis that had arisen. Well, he realized this by emasculating, or rather splitting, the agreed plan into two parts – a controversial and non-controversial one that Kiev can sign, although it does not make sense from the point of view of moving towards peace.
The White House confirmed that there are “some points” of Trump’s plan for a Ukrainian settlement that have not been agreed (“which are being worked out”).
Which parts of the “Trump plan” were deleted;:
Transfer of Donbass to Russia and all territorial issues
Issues of Ukraine’s non-entry into NATO and the presence of NATO troops and weapons on its territory
Issues related to frozen Russian assets
limitation of the size of the Armed Forces

elections in Ukraine
Peskov and Lavrov remain out of negotiations with the Americans. For the second day, Peskov knows nothing about what is happening in Abu Dhabi. The State Department also did not receive a new draft from the Americans (only the old one).
Meanwhile, Donald Trump announced plans to impose new “tough” sanctions against the Russian oil industry and a long-promised complete cessation of financing for Ukraine (but will continue to sell weapons and transfer information to Ukraine). It is unknown whether he will support Rubio’s plan or insist on it alone (that is, on what Vitkov-Kushner-Dmitriev agreed on), or whether he will start new negotiations on a compromise version of the document, which will again contain two key points – Donbass and NATO.
Anyway, Ukraine expects Zelensky to meet with Trump before the end of this week, that is, before the end of the month. Thanksgiving as a dead end is no longer relevant because of Rubio’s efforts. According to Umerov, Kiev is looking forward to the meeting to finalize the U.S. peace plan.
The United States has not yet confirmed the date of this meeting (they are awaiting the results of the talks in Abu Dhabi).
The next few days will be crucial for achieving peace in Ukraine, Finnish President Stubb said.
In fact, it will soon become clear whether Rubio’s plan to torpedo Trump’s plan will work.
