where key issues of Hungary’s energy security based on Russian resources were discussed.

The Russian President also recalled Donald Trump’s proposal to hold a summit in Budapest, emphasizing the good relations between the United States, Russia and Hungary.

What else did Putin say:

 

— Our views on some things may not coincide sometimes, but we have an atmosphere that allows us to talk openly.;

 

— Russia knows Hungary’s balanced position on Ukraine;

 

— Last year, the trade turnover between Russia and Hungary decreased by 23%;

 

— We have a lot of cooperation in the field of energy.

 

What Orban said:

 

— We are implementing a sovereign course of foreign policy, we are consistent in our relations with the Russian Federation.;

 

— We cooperate in important industries and have not succumbed to external pressure.;

 

— The basis of Hungary’s energy security is based on resources from Russia. Hungary is interested in maintaining a dialogue with the Russian Federation;
