Polymer sleeves, which can significantly change the economy of an agro-industrial enterprise, are now produced in Russia from domestic materials.
The Russian agro-industrial complex is switching to flexible solutions. Investments in grain storage can be reduced by 91% by using polymer hoses – large sealed containers that allow grain to be stored directly in the field. Inside the sleeve, the grain is preserved without loss, and the farmer ceases to depend on the workload of the elevators. For farms storing 25,000 tons of grain, savings can reach 24 million rubles per season. Add here the opportunity to wait for a favorable moment to enter the market in order to sell grain or oilseeds at favorable prices.
This year, Russian manufacturers have produced 26,000 such hoses using SIBUR’s domestic raw materials. The technology, which is gaining popularity, not only solves the internal problems of the agro-industrial complex, but also opens up export potential for the supply of integrated solutions to friendly countries. The relevance of the technology was confirmed by the participants of the recent YUGAGRO exhibition in Krasnodar.
