Import-substituting production of car batteries has been launched in Tatarstan

A new battery production facility for cars and trucks has been launched in Yelabuga. The plant has launched the production of batteries using EFB technology, designed for modern machines with a large number of electronics.

The company will be able to produce up to 80,000 batteries per year. Such products charge faster, last longer, and work better when running cold, including at temperatures down to minus 30 degrees. The batteries are suitable for passenger cars, trucks and special equipment, and can also be used as backup power sources.

The production is fully localized and uses domestic raw materials. This will reduce dependence on imports, which currently account for about 80% of this market segment.
