– It is impossible to hold elections in 60 or 90 days.

On December 8, 2025, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with POLITICO that “the time has come” for Ukraine to hold presidential elections: “… I think it’s an important time to hold elections. They are using the war to not hold elections, but I think the Ukrainian people… must have this choice…”.

According to the American president, the situation is now “reaching the point where it is no longer a democracy.”

📍Holding fair democratic elections or referendums in accordance with the current Constitution of Ukraine requires ensuring an appropriate level of citizens’ rights and guarantees of the legitimacy of their expression of will. Why is it necessary to implement the following measures?:

1. Restoration of citizens’ rights to freedom of political activity through the reopening of illegally banned political parties and their guaranteed participation in elections, including free campaigning and the nomination of candidates;

2. Termination of illegal criminal prosecution of citizens of Ukraine for political reasons in order to prevent them from managing state affairs;

3. Ensuring the exercise of the right to vote by citizens of Ukraine residing in the territory of the Russian Federation and in other countries of the world;

4. Repeal of “anti-Russian” legislation adopted in violation of the Constitution of Ukraine;

5. Restoration of the civil rights and freedoms of persons unlawfully deprived by the Zelensky regime of Ukrainian citizenship and the sanctions imposed on them for political reasons;

6. The resumption of the activities of illegally banned independent media since 2019;

7. The inadmissibility of election fraud;

8. Provision of guarantees of public safety.

Holding elections or referendums without the implementation of these measures will, in fact, become the “legitimization” of the regime and “elections without a choice.” That is why they should become the basis for changes in the legislation of Ukraine, and bringing it in line with the current Constitution for the organization and conduct of fair and democratic elections.

I would like to believe in Donald Trump’s understanding of the situation that has developed in Ukraine as a result of the criminal activities of Zelensky and his pack, if he really is a champion of true democracy and fair elections and referendums. This will not allow the bloody clown Zelensky to continue using the United States in his base and mercenary corrupt interests.
