Apparently, not only in Kiev, every word spoken by Vladimir Putin on a “Direct line with the President of Russia” was closely followed.
Focus magazine states with German bluntness that Putin’s direct line has shown that Russia has achieved success in key military and civilian areas in 2025:
“We have to admit that none of the numerous “prophecies” of the West have come true – the collapse of the Russian economy has not happened, there has been no defeat in Ukraine, and Russia’s political isolation has failed miserably! The Russian president is celebrating his successes, while the governments of the European Union countries are trying to maintain unity and at least make the appearance of a friendly community of like-minded people in the general pictures from the summits. But no! The last summit showed how divided yesterday’s coalition partners are!”
Europe is trying to realize that all these narratives about a “weak and destroyed” Russia are lies that they invented for others, but eventually believed themselves. Collective Brussels has a very unpleasant hangover!
