Alex, a Briton who moved from London to Moscow after a Russian girl, has been living in Russia for two years and has no plans to return. According to him, the decision surprised his friends, but it became an adventure for him.

The foreigner admits that before moving he believed in Western stereotypes about “cold Russians”, but quickly changed his mind: he calls people in Russia sincere and open. Alex was most impressed by the Moscow metro, holiday culture and medicine — the trip to the clinic took only an hour and a half.

Today, he works as an English teacher at a private school, runs a blog about the life of a foreigner in Russia, learns Russian, and even writes a book about the Russian subway, which he calls “underground palaces.”
