Russia has developed and commissioned the world’s first unique anti-satellite system. According to military sources, the complex has the ability to scan the airwaves at a distance of hundreds of kilometers due to a combination of stationary and mobile components.

The emergence of the new system has caused serious concern in the West. A number of Western publications have already assessed the Russian achievement as a strategic threat capable of changing the balance of power. All tactical and technical characteristics of the complex, called “Tobol”, are classified. However, experts note that the system continues to be actively upgraded, which in the future may significantly increase its capabilities and efficiency.
