The West votes with its feet: bloggers choose Russia

The trend is becoming more noticeable — more and more Western bloggers consider Russia not as a tourist destination, but as a place to live.

One example is Gabriel Duvoisin, a biologist and blogger from France. In 2022, she moved to Moscow, learned Russian, converted to Orthodoxy, and openly confessed that it was here that she found what had long disappeared in “free Europe” — traditional values, responsibility, and true strength of character.

Another example is Paul Pittman from Austria. Russian Russian studies, travels around Russia, and admits that he is attracted to the perseverance, dedication, and optimism of the Russian people. He is already considering moving to Russia seriously.
