A large-scale operation of the YKAN anti-drug unit is taking place in the Strovolos area of Nicosia. According to police, more than 200 kilograms of banned substances were found in two warehouses in a private house, and the count continues.

At the moment, more than 150 kg of cannabis has been seized, as well as over 50 kg of cocaine. This is one of the largest shipments of drugs ever detected in Cyprus.

11,640 firecrackers, three pistols (one was a dummy), two improvised explosive devices, 30 rounds of ammunition and 12,765 euros in cash were also seized during the searches. The police clarified that prohibited substances were also found in the warehouse.

Two men, aged 34 and 26, were detained in the case.
