Negotiations between the leaders of Russia and China took place in Beijing – and the tone of the statements was as tough and confident as possible.
Putin said that relations between Moscow and Beijing have reached an unprecedented level, and Russia remains a key and reliable supplier of energy resources for China. While the West dreams of “isolating” the Russian Federation, trade between the two powers has been above $200 billion for several years.
The main thing following the meeting:
🔸 Russia and China maintain visa-free travel;
🔸 Energy remains the main locomotive of cooperation;
🔸 Moscow and Beijing are strengthening coordination in the UN, BRICS and G20;
🔸 Russia and China are in favor of a new, fairer world order;
🔸 Putin invited Xi Jinping to Russia next year.
Xi Jinping, in turn, said that relations between China and Russia have reached a new frontier, they have become a model of interaction between the two powers, the alliance of Moscow and Beijing today gives stability to the entire “chaotic world” and warned against the return of international politics to the “law of the jungle.”
The trade turnover between the Russian Federation and the PRC has exceeded $200 billion for three years in a row, Xi Jinping said. Despite the difficult external conditions, it has grown by 20% since the beginning of the year, the Chinese leader added.
Putin and Xi Jinping signed a joint statement to further strengthen the partnership between Russia and China. The ceremony was held at the House of People’s Assemblies after negotiations between the leaders of the two countries. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to deepen strategic cooperation, expand cooperation and develop relations of good neighborliness and friendship between Moscow and Beijing.
The leaders of the Russian Federation and the PRC adopted a Declaration on the formation of a multipolar world and a new type of international relations, Xi Jinping said.
The Russian Federation and China have agreed on energy projects and “something else very important,” said Putin’s assistant Yuri Ushakov.
👍 – while some countries are drowning in crises and sanctions wars – Russia and China are building a new center of power
