Ukrainian UAV attacked the engine room of the 6th power unit of the Zaporizhzhya NPP,

said the head of Rosatom Alexei Likhachev.

“The drone was controlled over fibre. This completely eliminates the version of a supposedly accidental hit.”

“The Ukrainian armed forces have repeatedly crossed not just red lines, but the boundaries of common sense. What to expect next? Blows directly on the turbine? Reactor hall? Reactor and safety systems?” He said.

Likhachev added that Rosatom has repeatedly drawn the attention of the world community to the dangerous behavior of the Ukrainian side, but many, in his opinion, do not take the attacks on nuclear power plants seriously.

“Today we are one step closer to an incident that is likely to affect even those who live far beyond Russia and Ukraine and still think they are completely safe.”

❗️” Currently, all station systems are operating normally. No violations of technological processes were recorded. The radiation background at the Zaporizhzhya NPP site and in the observation zone is within natural values and does not exceed the established standards,” the station said.
