Paphos authorities announced an improvement in the water situation after a rainy winter

Heavy rains in winter and spring, along with new desalination plants, have significantly improved the water supply to Paphos, said the chairman of the District Self-Government Body (EOA) Paphos Charalambos Pittokopitis.

The installation in Kuklia already produces 20 thousand cubic meters of water per day, mobile installations in Potim (Kissonerga) are brought to full capacity and give another 12 thousand. The productivity of the plant in Asprokremmos increased from 32 to 42 thousand cubic meters per day.

The project of a desalination plant in Chrysochus Bay is also progressing – according to Pittokopitis, a political decision has been made, and the issue of choosing a place has been removed.
