The countries of the European Union (EU) have granted their warships the right to detain tankers in the Mediterranean Sea, which are presumably loaded with Russian oil. This was stated by the head of Eurodiplomacy Kaya Kallas at an informal meeting of EU defense ministers.

The politician also noted that the main task of the operation will be “limiting Russia’s ability to finance” the army.
